three main elements of my morning routine

For years, I struggled to establish a morning routine. I would hit the snooze button multiple times, rush through my morning tasks, and arrive at work feeling frazzled and unprepared. However, after much trial and error, I have finally found a morning routine that works for me. In this blog post, I will discuss the three main elements of my morning routine that have made a significant difference in my daily life.

Waking Up Early

The first aspect of my morning routine is waking up early. While this may seem obvious, it was a significant challenge for me. I used to stay up late and then struggle to get out of bed in the morning. However, I have found that waking up early allows me to start my day with a sense of calm and purpose. I now aim to wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. This consistency has helped me to establish a better sleep routine and has made waking up each morning much easier.

Exercise

The second component of my morning routine is exercise. I used to think that I was too busy to exercise in the morning, but I have found that just 20 minutes of movement can make a significant difference in my day. Whether it’s yoga, a quick HIIT workout, or a brisk walk outside, exercising in the morning helps me to feel energized and focused. It also sets a positive tone for the rest of my day. Lately, I’ve been really enjoying Burn Boot Camp which is a 45 minute HIIT workout. Being that I can attend a class as early as 5:30am, It works perfectly for my morning routine and allows me enough time to prepare for work without rushing. If you’re interested in learning more about burn boot camp and my experience, I’ve shared it all on my YouTube Channel, here.

Mindfulness Practice

The third and final aspect of my morning routine is a mindfulness practice. This can take many forms, such as meditation, devotions, journaling, or simply taking a few deep breaths. By taking a few minutes each morning to connect with myself and set intentions for the day, I feel more centered and grounded. This practice has also helped me to cultivate a sense of gratitude and positivity, which has had a ripple effect on my overall well-being. The 5-Minute Guided Journal is a popular choice by many. I see it all up and down my timeline from the GWORLS. I like to go a little more in-depth when I journal so I use the blank edition journal from Tilago Stationary Company.

Establishing a morning routine has been a game-changer for me. By waking up early, exercising, and practicing mindfulness, I have transformed my mornings from a source of stress to a time of peace and productivity. While everyone’s morning routine will look different, I encourage you to experiment with different elements until you find what works best for you. With a little bit of effort and commitment, you too can start your day feeling calm, focused, and ready to take on the world.
